We are working with a leading innovator in high-speed communications technology to find an experienced Senior RF Design Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on the design and verification of cutting-edge high-speed signal transmission interfaces, playing a key role in next-generation telecoms applications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and verification of high-speed signal transmission interfaces, including 56GBd/112GBd PAM4 low-loss interfaces with bandwidths up to 70GHz.
* Controlled impedance PCB trace design, pre/post-layout simulation, and integration with PCB CAD tools.
* RF simulation using tools such as Polar Si8000, Ansys HFSS, and Keysight ADS.
* PCB material selection, stack-up design, and optimisation in collaboration with suppliers.
* Analysis of insertion loss, return loss, and near/far-end crosstalk to ensure signal integrity.
* End-to-end RF chain simulation, including via transitions, IBIS models, and supplier S-parameter files.
* Hands-on VNA, spectrum analyser, and RF power meter testing for verification and debugging.
* Test automation, results capture, analysis, and presentation to internal teams.
Requirements:
* RF design experience, preferably within telecoms applications.
* Strong knowledge of high-speed PCB design and RF performance optimisation.
* Experience working with high-frequency signal integrity challenges and RF measurement techniques.
* Proficiency in RF simulation tools and PCB design collaboration.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior RF Design Engineer to contribute to advanced high-speed communication solutions within a dynamic and innovative environment.
