We are currently seeking a Senior Accounting Technician to join our Finance team which provides financial services to North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Services (NYFRS).

Reporting to an Accountant, you will provide support in delivering on all aspects of budget and budget management of the Fire & Rescue Service. This will include the monitoring and analysis of payroll costs to inform budget forecasts and financial decision making. The role will also involve providing specialist advice and support to Finance colleagues and also budget holders in both Fire Service operational and support staff functions.
The successful candidate will be a proactive team worker, with excellent communication and inter- personal skills. Previous experience of working within Management Accounts and providing analytical information is essential. Applicants must be qualified to AAT Level 4 or hold an equivalent professional qualification. Ideally the successful candidate will be looking to continue studying to qualified accountant level and develop their skills and experience.
