Core Responsibilities:
* Strategic Planning – in collaboration with senior leadership, responsible for coordinating the annual five-year strategic planning for Ingredion EMEA, including the development and implementation of long-term strategic plans for a specific focus area to achieve business objectives. Create effective relationships with leaders across functions and business units to influence the development and execution of the strategy, including innovation, marketing, finance, and operations.
* Business Development – identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including partnerships, joint ventures, and strategic alliances, that can strengthen our drive for innovative growth. Lead negotiations and manage relationships with potential partners and stakeholders from design and approvals to execution, managing internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
* Mergers & Acquisitions – identify growth opportunities and overview of competitive/potential M&A target landscapes and support financial modeling and analysis to assess the viability and impact of potential acquisitions. Build and foster sustainable external relationships that deliver value for the business with potential M&A or strategic alliance outcomes, including potential M&A targets, investment banks, and industry advisors. Approach potential M&A targets to further understand strategic fit and actionability, and lead the end-to-end M&A process, including target identification, business case preparation, due diligence coordination, negotiation support, and integration. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of acquired businesses.
Qualified candidates will have:
Mandatory requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in financial, technical or business-related field; post-graduate degree in a business-related field is an advantage
* Minimum 10 years’ experience in a B2B environment, preferably through a combination of consulting and food/ingredient industry experience with a focus on strategic business development
* Demonstrated experience in strategy and business development, ideally in a consulting capacity
* Strategic mindset with excellent analytical skills and solid financial acumen
* Proven ability to build relationships and lead through influence at all levels of the organization
* Experience in preparing business cases, M&A projects and/or significant investment proposals is preferred
