Our client has an opportunity for a Static F&DT Engineer to join them on a contract basis until the end of 2025. As part of Structural Repair Manual (SRM), engineering team you will be a "Static/F&DT Engineer" in a small team charged with delivering all Wing Structural Repairs and the definition of allowable damage limits for the fixed wing box structure across all program variants. This challenging role requires an in-depth knowledge of the Stress and F&DT analysis methods regarding supporting the repairs process. Role : Static F&DT Engineer Location : Filton - 60% onsite as a minimum Hourly Rate : £46 - £52.58/hr Umbrella depending on experience Clearance : BPSS required to start What you'll be doing: High quality, integrated and certificated engineering repair solutions are provided for inclusion into the Structural Repair Manual. Create, compile and co-ordinate Stress engineering documentation to achieve valid technical data for repairs. Ensure all tasks and activities required for allocated tasks are correctly planned, monitored and executed to achieve required quality & customer time scales. Contribute to effective repair team operation with the appropriate use of project management control and measures in achieving these objectives. Ensure all stakeholders are effectively informed of and are satisfied with SRM team performance. Implement incoming task requirements so that SRM team activities meet with Customer programs and ensure outgoing tasking documents are consistent with Airbus and departmental requirements and meet customer requirements. With good customer skills, provide responses for routine SRM repairs queries, giving advice and guidance as required within Airbus UK on repair matters. In conjunction with the other members of the department, be a member of an integrated engineering team, ensuring its strategy, policy and directions are maintained. Ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation and across all departments, set objectives and priorities to time, cost and quality. In conjunction with other members of the team deliver integrated engineering solutions within agreed timescales. Requirements: A good knowledge of static stress and F&DT assessment of repairs to metallic and composite aircraft structures. Aviation background and ideally have knowledge of Airbus processes.
