About the Role - In this role you will provide highly visible leadership for all staff throughout St Mary's Surgical Centre and our UTC's, championing a professional and open culture which empowers staff to consistently deliver high quality care with compassion. You will be supporting a multi-skilled, multi-disciplined and diverse clinical workforce to work as a cohesive operational group delivering first class treatments to patients. You will be a key member of the senior management team of the Hospital and will provide the leadership for delivering safe, efficient and reliable patient care to ensure that the standards set out within the contract are achieved and that the operational team works towards continuous quality improvement. Reporting to the Hospital Director, you will deliver the operational, strategic, and contractual, requirements of the Surgical and Urgent Treatment Centre. You will be responsible for the management of non-clinical staff and service delivery, facilities and estates, and performance of sub-contractor agreements. You will also participate in the Manager On-Call rota.
Responsibilities - You will ensure the administrative processes facilitate and support the safe and efficient management of patients through their clinical care pathway within the contractual pathway. As well as ensuring efficient systems and processes are in place and adhered to enable the accurate tracking and recording of booking/scheduling/post discharge administrative activities and outcomes, monitoring data quality and seek solutions to minimise error rate. You will be required assist in the responsibility and accountability for the unit's budget, working with the Hospital Director and Finance Manager to ensure the optimum use of resources, while establishing and maintaining effective management processes to ensure financial control. In this role you will optimise management of finances and to take appropriate actions for saving money or improving value for money.
Required experience and skillset -
* Previous experience working at a Deputy Director level
* Degree and / or an appropriate professional qualification or equivalent
* Operational management experience of multiple service delivery
* Understanding of governance
