London N1 Working 4 days Monday-Thursday 3 month
A well-established audio visual systems integration company is looking for an on-site AV Event Technician to be based at the client's site in London N1 to provide an onsite support service to a high-profile client working four days per week Monday-Thursday on a three-month contract that could go on longer.
The Role
We are looking for someone with a good all-round knowledge of commercial audio visual conferencing equipment including Google Meet or Teams Rooms, Crestron control systems, Barco Click Share, QSC audio DSPs, and Shure microphones, as well as a working knowledge of IT systems including Apple Macs.
This is a key support role and a perfect opportunity for the right person to manage their workload and own the on-site first line AV support in a busy and hi-tech environment.
Key Areas of Responsibility
1. Carrying out regular in-room system checks to ensure the functionality of all rooms and AV facilities are checked daily.
2. Producing a rota and maintaining records of room checks and any faults found/rectified.
3. Providing AV technical support to users, which may be via telephone, in person by visiting the room, or via email; speed of response time will be important.
4. Fault finding, diagnosis, and resolution of problems that may occur with the AV systems.
5. Manage regular software patching and updating of AV equipment.
6. User support for important meetings, including a “white glove” service for senior leadership as required, involving setting up Teams conference calls and managing presentations in the lecture theatre and larger conference rooms.
7. Liaising with FVS technical support at our office on any AV issues that cannot be resolved as part of the first line support checks.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
1. Ideally some past experience in an AV / IT support role within a Corporate or Government environment.
2. Technical aptitude and interest in solving AV and IT related issues.
3. Confident manner and smart appearance with the ability to interact with customers and colleagues in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
4. Knowledge of Google Meet, Teams, or Zoom would be an advantage, but not essential as training can be provided.
5. Proactive, can-do, helpful attitude with the ability to plan and manage your own workload and multiple tasks.
6. Must be self-motivated, organised, and work in a logical manner with effective time management and attention to detail, and have a good memory.
7. Ability to read and comprehend technical documents including system schematics.
8. Must be eligible to work in the EU.
Working on a Three-month contract 4 days per week Monday-Thursday
