SEN Teaching Assistant Role: ReceptionTeaching Assistant Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:45am - 3:45pm Start Date: ASAP Location: Isleworth,Middlesex We are looking for a recent Psychology Graduate who would like to join a vibrant Reception class in Isleworth as a Special Educational Needs Behaviour Management Teaching Assistant. In this full-time role, you will work alongside a qualified teacher and an Early Years Practitioner, becoming part of a supportive and welcoming team dedicated to helping every child thrive. About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) within a mainstream Reception class. The successful candidate will work one-on-one and in small groups with students, helping to create a positive learning environment while focusing on behaviour management. Your main responsibilities will include: Managing and supporting students with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other SEN. Implementing behaviour management strategies and techniques. Working closely with the classroom teacher and Early Years Practitioner to ensure the children's needs are met. Encouraging positive behaviours and social skills development. Engaging children in learning activities and assisting in their progress. Key Requirements: Experience in SEN Support: Must have prior experience working with children with SEN, including knowledge of managing challenging behaviours. Behaviour Management Skills: Comfortable and capable in managing behaviour effectively, with patience and positivity. Experience with ASD/ADHD: Prior experience working with children diagnosed with ASD, ADHD, or similar conditions. Personable and Compassionate: Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for working with young children Psychology degree or related field. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team, showing flexibility and reliability. Why Join?
