Description
We are seeking a committed and experienced Van driver to join our team in Newbridge. In this role you will be transporting waste materials between designated locations and being compliant with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes, sheeting all loads to ensure secure transit of waste on the public highway.
Key Responsibilities
* Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence.
* Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
* Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns.
* Operate vehicles to collect, transport, and deliver waste materials between designated locations.
* Ensure compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes, sheeting all loads to ensure secure transit of waste on the public highway.
* Complete relevant tickets or use the handheld device (as appropriate), detailing the necessary information and obtaining a customer signature.
* Ensure that health, safety and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company's safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions.
* Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
* Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
* Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.
* Manage Stock Numbers & Stock Area.
