We are currently recruiting for a Handyperson to work on a part-time basis (6 hours per week) for a serviced office rental company based in Burton upon Trent. Working 6 hours per week to suit your lifestyle, you will be paid £20 per hour plus any additional work paid at an hourly rate or fixed fee. If required, there is potential for more hours across the DE1 area of Derby too if the right applicant is open to this.
As a Handyperson, you will have the following responsibilities:
1. Weekly repairs and maintenance checks of buildings
2. Ensure appliances are working and updated, such as clocks, timers etc.
3. Check kitchens are in order - no broken drawers etc.
4. Carry out weekly fire alarm checks - all training provided
5. Maintain the yard areas, sweeping and weeding
6. Completing minor painting and decorating
7. Replacement of carpet tiles
8. Moving furniture
9. Liaising with external trades
10. Taking deliveries
11. Fire alarm activations and emergency lighting checks
12. Maintaining maintenance logs of all work undertaken
We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
1. Previous experience as a Handyperson or tradesperson
2. Specific electrical, building, plumbing or other building maintenance skills advantageous
3. Ability to build strong relationships and rapport
4. You will take pride in your work
