Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles.
Responsibilities
1. Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
2. Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
3. Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow effectively.
4. Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports and with year-end closing procedures.
5. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare necessary documentation for tax filings.
6. Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support budgeting processes.
7. Assist in the implementation of new accounting systems or software as needed.
Experience
1. Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role is essential.
2. Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero, is highly desirable.
3. Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general bookkeeping principles.
4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
5. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
