The Role:
* As a Lawyer in Liverpool City Council, you will provide legal advice and representation in areas of law of relevance to the Council including information governance and public law challenges to decisions.
* You will have personal responsibility for a varied caseload, and act as a subject expert in planning, highways & licensing law, with appropriate support and supervision from a Senior Lawyer or Head of Law.
* You will lead and develop a team of Legal Assistants where required.
* You will contribute to the supervision and development of Trainee Lawyers in the team.
* The role of Lawyer reports to the Senior Lawyer for the discipline.
* You will work collaboratively within your team and the service to meet deadlines and achieve targets.
