Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 DOE
Our client is a dynamic business with a strong commercial heritage in the food industry, that due to exciting growth plans, is looking for an Account Manager to join the UK sales team!
They are a creative and customer-driven business, providing high-performance ingredient solutions to customers and suppliers in the health, nutrition and weight management sectors. In this role, you will support further market and financial growth in the UK and Ireland. You will contribute to long-term organisational strategic goals, build on key customer relationships, identify business opportunities and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
There will be travelling at least 2 days per week to the UK and Ireland and occasionally to other European countries, for supplier-facing activities, or exhibitions.
Your Responsibilities:
* Effectively grow and retain existing customers through strong relationships and innovation.
* Identify and develop our unique selling propositions and differentiators.
* Work with Principals, technical colleagues and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
* Providing customer service excellence when interacting with customers, presenting an image that mirrors that of the client.
* Effectively manage Salesforce for business reporting.
* Attend industry functions, such as trade shows and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market trends.
* Identify opportunities that will lead to an increase in sales.
About You:
* Experience in selling products (ideally ingredients) to the nutrition/wellness/health industry.
* A degree, preferably food-related and/or sales, commercial or technical experience within the food industry.
* Market knowledge and a motivation for sales.
* Confident communication skills (written and verbal) demonstrated with strong networking skills, persuasion, and prospecting skills.
* Excellent personal organisation and standard of work.
* Self-confidence, enthusiasm, positivity, self-motivation and independence.
* Responsibility for own work performance and present a positive image of the company.
* Previous experience of using CRM (specifically Salesforce) to an excellent level, excellent IT skills.
