Job Title: Fractional Finance Director (FFD) Location: Northampton (Hybrid) Working Hours 2 days a week initially c£80k Pro Rata or Day Rate (open to Convo) Our client is a provider of award-winning software for the company incorporation and business start-up sector. They are now looking to scale up following recent acquisition talks, and are seeking a Fractional Finance Director to guide them through our next growth phase. Role Overview: The Fractional Finance Director (FFD) will play a critical role in our company's growth and restructuring efforts. The FFD will conduct a comprehensive discovery process from the ground up, strategize the necessary restructuring, and implement procedures to streamline and optimize financial performance. This role involves implementing cost-saving initiatives and enhancing operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) to help position our clients for successful M&A activities. Key Responsibilities: Conduct a thorough discovery process to understand the current financial landscape of the company. Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and restructuring efforts. Streamline financial processes and optimize financial performance. Implement cost-saving initiatives and enhance operational efficiency. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Ensure the company is well-positioned for M&A activities, including due diligence and integration planning. Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial alignment with overall business objectives. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Finance Director or similar role, preferably in a fractional capacity. Strong background in financial strategy, planning, and analysis. Experience with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) is essential. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) are preferred. Personal Attributes: Strategic thinker with a proactive approach. Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
