Motor Vehicle Technician (Plant and Horticultural)
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: A£35,235 - A£38,626 per annum
The Role
The Council (City Transport) is seeking an experienced, time-served vehicle technician to take up a permanent position.
City Transport maintains and repairs a diverse range of vehicles, plant, and horticultural equipment, as well as having two MOT stations, testing class 4, 5 & 7 vehicles, licensed taxis, and hackney carriages.
You will join the team, primarily in the workshop at Newington Rd.
Skills and Qualifications
They are looking for someone with the skills and experience to achieve the effective and efficient maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of the council's plant and vehicle fleet.
You will have served a recognised apprenticeship in motor vehicle engineering to NVQ level 3 or equivalent. A category B driving licence is essential. Categories C LGV licence or a valid MOT tester qualification are advantageous.
