Unifi Aviation UK provides expert cleaning services throughout the UK, helping keep our commercial client’s aircraft and brand reputation spotless.
As a Ramp Supervisor, you will be required to collaborate with customer airlines to ensure service level agreements are met and maintained to a high standard. You will manage staff members on aircraft cleaning inspections along with identifying any issues on the ramp that will impact operations, working closely with the operations coordinator and duty manager.
You will also have regular communication with the Duty Manager, Operations Coordinator, and night Operations Manager, highlighting issues on the ramp and facilitating quick time actions to resolve.
There will be an element of administrative duties including Team Leader performance, quality control through use of Safety Culture, and GSE Management through use of Fleetio.
A degree of flexibility to support the operation during our busy periods is necessary in this role. Candidates must hold a full manual driving licence and be able to pass a criminal record check and be willing to be trained in all elements of the operation. There is an expectation to become a subject matter expert on carriers SLA engagement standards and cleaning specifications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Combine experience, intuition, and strategic thinking to make considered judgements about the overall impact on the operation and people, including potential operational threats and risks, and ways to quickly resolve.
2. Ensure tasks are performed in accordance with Company and Airline specific procedures and policies.
3. Ensure health & safety and company policies are continuously monitored and enforced.
4. The on-time delivery of all nightly aircraft services within the designated time and to the required standard and satisfaction of the customer.
5. Assisting with aircraft appearance duties where required.
6. Reviews operational reports and resolves problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent flight delays.
7. Inspects equipment to ensure specific and safe operational and safety performance.
8. Required to attend the mandatory training imposed by the Company and Airlines as per job role.
9. To assist the operations coordinator and duty manager with cleaning crew management on the ramp, as the operational eye and ears.
10. Be initiative-taking and enthusiastic to lead by example.
11. Maintain an impartial and professional attitude towards every member of staff.
12. Other duties as assigned.
Person Specification
1. Aviation Experience working on the ramp in an operational capacity.
2. Experience of supervising teams.
3. Confident in challenging teams to ensure the best possible operational delivery.
4. Quick thinker, able to juggle multiple priorities with solid decision making.
5. Full valid UK manual driving licence.
6. Computer literate and able to use software applications used by the business.
7. Keen eye for detail, with an ability to foresee issues before they happen and quickly apply corrective actions.
8. Experience of working within a high paced, safety critical environment.
9. Service Level Agreement awareness within operational decision making.
