The National Account Executive (NAE) supports the Senior National Account Manager (SNAM) in managing JDR’s key accounts, ASDA and Co-op. This role is ideal for a high-potential individual eager to grow in their FMCG sales career and gain hands-on account management experience. Core responsibilities include demand planning, financial forecasting, and administrative support, all of which are critical to effectively developing key accounts and ensuring positive customer relationships. Key Accountabilities The NAE is responsible for handling a diverse workload while prioritising tasks to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders in a diverse environment. A significant focus of the role is account management, where the NAE will be directly involved in managing key accounts such as ASDA and Co-op. Key tasks include providing administrative support, managing invoices, and assisting with promotional planning and execution. The role also requires the NAE to build and maintain positive relationships with key customer contacts, coordinate internal communications on account activities, and proactively identify issues or opportunities. Effective account management is central to success in this role, as it involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, updating sales forecasts, managing product visibility on online platforms, and understanding competitor impacts. The Right Person The ideal candidate will have some experience or a genuine interest in account management within the FMCG industry, with the ability to develop relationships with large retail accounts. They will demonstrate sound judgment and the ability to influence outcomes while effectively balancing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Candidates will be collaborative, trustworthy, and committed to continuous improvement, showing expertise in supporting the operational needs of key accounts like ASDA and Co-op. Technological savvy, a solid understanding of retail operations, and strong analytical skills are essential for success, particularly in the context of effective account management.
