About us and the role
At Avanti Gardens, we believe every child deserves a strong foundation for learning. Our school offers a warm and engaging environment where young minds can thrive, and we are welcoming a dedicated Pre-School HLTA to play a key role in shaping our pupils' early years’ experience.
Working exclusively in our pre-school, you will support learning, provide engaging activities, and help create a positive start to each child’s educational journey. If you enjoy inspiring children, supporting their development, and working closely with teachers and families, we would love to hear from you.
What will you do?
* Support child learning by acting as a role model, meeting personal needs while encouraging independence
* Assisting children with special educational needs through specific programs and individual education plans (IEHCPs)
* Ensure compliance with child protection, health, safety, and data protection policies
* Participate in ‘out of school’ activities and professional development opportunities
What are we looking for?
* HLTA status or equivalent qualification or experience.
* Excellent level of literacy and numeracy skills or qualifications to NVQ level 2 English and Maths
* Experience of working with children with additional learning needs
* Ability to understand the role of parents and carers, with the ability to relate and build excellent working relationships
* Ability to observe, monitor and provide constructive feedback on pupils progress
* Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within the school
Further information
Avanti Schools Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and requires all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All successful candidates are required to have an Enhanced DBS check unless internally appointed and still within the cycle of DBS re-checks. Diversity and Inclusion
We want to make sure we are attracting the widest possible range of people and ensure that they are accepted, understood and treated equally when they work here. This means we will work hard to understand that each employee is unique and ensuring that individuals or groups are not treated differently or less favourably on the basis of specific characteristics.
