Your Role as a Maternity Cover Teacher:
Deliver High-Quality Teaching: Take full responsibility for a primary class, delivering engaging and inspiring lessons in line with the UK curriculum.
Build Relationships: Develop strong relationships with pupils, parents, and the wider school community to ensure continuity in learning and pastoral care.
Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and productive learning environment, following the school’s behavior policies.
Plan, Assess, and Report: Plan lessons, mark work, and assess pupils' progress to ensure they meet their learning goals.
Collaborate: Work closely with the school’s leadership team, colleagues, and teaching assistants to deliver the best possible outcomes for pupils.
What We’re Looking For:
* Essential Requirements:
o Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
o Proven experience teaching in primary schools, with a strong understanding of the UK curriculum.
o A current enhanced DBS check registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
o Excellent organizational and classroom management skills.
o A commitment to providing high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
* Desirable Skills:
o Experience teaching in a long-term or maternity cover capacity.
o Familiarity with special educational needs (SEN) strategies.
o A creative and innovative approach to lesson planning.
