Hours: 08:00 am – 5:00 pm or 09:00 am – 6:00 pm (1-hour lunch break)

Job Overview:
Our client are a specialist in hiring out Plant Equipment to the construction industry. The role involves supporting the Plant Hire department with the maintenance, cleaning, and repair of equipment, while also managing key operational tasks. This includes handling customer interactions at the trade counter and via telephone, managing contracts through the MCS ERP system, and ensuring efficient daily operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent organisational skills, and a customer-focused approach to service.
Main Responsibilities:
* Maintenance, cleaning, and repair of equipment
* Perform plant hire functions, including loading and unloading
* Set up contracts on the MCS ERP system, managing the end-to-end process
* Handle day-to-day processes in MCS, including raising contracts, managing collections, off-hires, and purchase orders
* Assist customers at the trade counter and provide delivery services
* Provide customer support over the telephone
* Support general activities within the plant hire department

Knowledge, Expertise & Qualifications:
Essential:
* Hands-on experience with plant equipment for mechanical services, plumbing, and heating
* Experience in plant maintenance and testing
* Familiarity with hire fleet databases
Desirable:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
* Current, clean driving license
