Your new role
This South Bristol school is seeking an experienced and passionate Year 6 teacher to join on a part-time basis. Working three days a week, the successful candidate will need prior experience with Year 6 or upper Key Stage 2 (KS2) classes. Responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of the children.
As a Year 6 Teacher, you will:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons for Year 6 students.
* Support lower-ability children and those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
* Collaborate with the classroom Teaching Assistant to provide targeted support for SEN students.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
* Engage with parents and carers to support children's learning and development.
What you'll need to succeed
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Experience teaching Year 6 or upper KS2 classes.
* Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum.
* Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
