We have 1, full-time paediatric Research Nurse post available based in the NIHR Clinical Research Facility at University Hospital Southampton. This role will provide regular contact with children and their families and will involve research that will make a real difference in future patient care.Our Paediatric research team consists of over 25 nurses/clinical research practitioners and clinical trials assistants working together to bring exciting research opportunities to the UHS for the benefit of our patients and the future of healthcare. The paediatric research nursing teamwork across all specialities within The Children's Hospital and out in the community. This will include working across vaccine hubs across Hampshire and Dorset.You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of studies with regular contact with patients and healthy volunteers that will make a real difference to future patient care. There is no set shift rotation but the majority of the time you will work Monday to Friday 8-4 pm; however we expect that you will also work a variety of flexible hours including long days, nights, and weekends on an ad-hoc basis as per your research study requirements. The post holder will be a car driver, with a full driving license and must be willing to travel to various locations in and around Hampshire and Dorset. The majority of research patients come from the Wessex region however the CRF is a national dosing centre for advanced therapy medication so patients come from all over the country for this treatment.
