A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Management Accountant to join CLOUD NINE and be an integral part of our Finance Team, based in Harrogate.
Reporting to the UK Finance Manager, the Assistant Management Accountant will also work closely with both the Group Finance Manager and Group Finance Director. The Assistant Management Accountant will also work closely with the Head of Sales and the National Accounts team, in relation to the accounting, reconciliation and analysis of National Account ledgers.
Key Responsibilities
* To reconcile the UK bank accounts weekly, including the allocation of all National and Web remittances
* To prepare KPI, margin, sales and unit analysis throughout the month
* To send sales invoices to National Account customers and manage statement requests and remittances, as well as responding to any queries from the Head of Sales and National Accounts team
* To assist with Purchase Ledger transactions
* To oversee credit control of National Accounts and assist with queries and returns as they arise
* To assist the UK Finance Manager with the MDL month end balance sheet reconciliations including debtor, marketplace and bank account reconciliations and accruals
* To assist the UK and Group Finance Managers with the management accounts pack
* To assist the UK and Group Finance Manager in monitoring costs against budget including departmental reporting
* To journal & to correct transactions
* To assist with audit queries
* To provide support and act as a mentor to Finance Assistants
* General accounting activities including assisting with the Overseas accounting and assisting with covering team absences where required
* General Office Assistance – copying & scanning documents, filing
Required Skills & Experience
* Minimum required qualifications – Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
* Excellent time-keeping and time management
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records or documentation.
* IT skills including competent use of NetSuite or similar ERP system and Microsoft office (including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel).
* Able to work both conscientiously without supervision and as part of a team
