Job Summary:
The Risk Analyst will support the efficient operation of the risk management framework, ensuring that key risks are managed effectively and that systems and processes are continuously improved
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in enhancing, implementing, and embedding the enterprise risk management framework.
* Lead preparation of materials for risk and control self-attestation and ensure completion of risk assessments.
* Support risk managers in challenging first-line processes related to operational, strategic, legal, and regulatory risks.
* Maintain and update risk management system data, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
* Manage the ongoing development and functionality of the risk management system.
* Help maintain and regularly update risk management documentation.
* Prepare risk management reports for committees and participate in project work as required.
* Collaborate closely with risk managers, sharing workloads as appropriate.
* Stay up to date with market best practices and regulatory requirements.
Specific Responsibilities:
* Ensure completeness and accuracy of risk management system data.
* Support the development of risk management system functionality, acting as the point of contact between the business, vendor, and IT.
* Manage the risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) and reporting cycle.
* Maintain operational risk reporting across multiple platforms (e.g., PowerBI, Excel).
* Provide technical and analytical support to the Risk team and the wider business.
Qualifications & Skills:
* University degree and/or professional qualifications are advantageous.
* 1-3 years’ experience in insurance and risk management preferred.
* Analytical with excellent attention to detail.
* Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset.
* Solid understanding of risk management frameworks and tools.
* Familiarity with commercial dynamics in the insurance sector.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
