Job description Start the new year with a fresh challenge Our client, a global leader in providing power solutions across industries like construction and entertainment, is looking for an experienced, hands-on generator engineer with leadership skillsor someone ready to take the next step into management. This role is an exciting opportunity for you to make a real impact and become the go-to expert in the depot. Youll be leading the team on-site, troubleshooting, servicing, and maintaining generators, while ensuring the highest safety and quality standards are upheld. Your proactive approach, strong communication skills, and leadership will be essential in driving the team to deliver exceptional service and support customers to meet their needs. What You'll Be Doing Carrying out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on various generators to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Using your troubleshooting skills to diagnose faults, find solutions, and minimise downtime. For more complex issues, you'll collaborate with the technical team. Overseeing day-to-day operations, providing guidance, delegating tasks, and ensuring the team is aligned with customer needs and targets. Regularly communicating with the depot manager to provide updates and identify solutions to challenges. Leading by example, offering training and support to the team, including apprentices, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. Prioritising health and safety by maintaining accurate records, complying with regulations, and promoting a safe working environment. What Youll Bring Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to challenges. NVQ L3 or City and Guilds equivalent in electrical and/or mechanical engineering or a related field. Proven experience in power engineering or a similar industry. Own tools (essential for the role). While prior experience in a supervisory role is desirable, leadership potential and a supportive approach are key. A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
