We are currently recruiting for a Sommelier to join the Peter Street Kitchen restaurant team at The Edwardian Manchester, A Radisson Collection Hotel.
Overview:
As a Sommelier, you will work alongside the restaurant team to deliver exceptional service to our guests by using an in-depth knowledge of the food and beverage menus and guiding the guest to a pairing that matches the food and is appropriate to their taste.
Maintain the stock of the wine menu while sourcing new wines to suit the menu and business model.
Undertake training and development of any Junior Sommeliers, as well as the beverage knowledge of the restaurant team through tastings and training sessions.
The role of Sommelier is responsible for overseeing the service of the restaurant and the Junior Sommelier team, ensuring all aspects of beverage service are immaculate.
About You:
To be considered for the role of Sommelier, it is essential you have in-depth knowledge of New and Old-World wines, understanding current and future market trends.
Understand the strategic positioning of the hotel, restaurant & company within the competitive market.
Have a high level of hotel product and services knowledge.
Possess a high level of business communication skills.
Have good attention to detail for all areas of service and restaurant needs.
A strong leader with great ambition to progress and create a fun and dynamic atmosphere.
