TLTP are recruiting for a PMLD, complex needs Teacher to teach in a specialist school in Slough.
This will involve teaching Entry level/functional skills level 1 & level 2 and low level learners.
This specialist school is for students aged 2-19 with complex needs, PMLD, ASD and/or additional needs. Situated in Slough, they are a community special school catering for a range of SEN needs.
To apply you will need to have QTS and some SEN experience ideally.
The teacher will be responsible for the progress of all pupils in their specialism, coordinating the work of a team of SEN TAs as well as providing required direct teaching time to meet the needs of the class groups and pupils.
Teachers will look at pupils holistically and draw on a wide range of social care and teaching strategies to meet pupil needs whilst promoting interest and ensuring the safety and well-being of pupils.
Delivering lessons that are pupil-focused and creative, according to an agreed timetable, providing opportunities for pupils to experience/understand English subjects in a range of contexts.
Teachers must have:
1. Commitment to the development of both yourself and the pupils in your class.
2. QTS.
3. The ability to deliver outstanding teaching and learning alongside a multi-disciplinary classroom team.
4. Experience of taking the lead in your subject area with clear ideas of how to achieve exceptional progress for students.
5. The ability to ensure that your pupils fulfill their potential with ambitious expectations.
6. A calm demeanor to maintain a sense of humor under pressure.
7. Understanding and commitment to safeguarding children.
