Job overview
Based within the Estates and Facilities Directorate at Greenacres, a 10 warded Mental Health Site, the Site Supervisor role is an operational role responsible for the day to day management of Hotel Services staff including housekeepers and porters. You will work alongside another 2 Site Supervisors.
You will need to be passionate and enthusiastic about patient care, putting patients at the heart of everything you do. You will be working in a multi-professional team and will need to be able to think on the spot and be empathetic. You should be highly motivated, reliable, and flexible.
A short basic English and Maths test will be undertaken at Interview.
Main duties of the job
An opportunity has arisen for a passionate, friendly and enthusiastic individual to work as a Site Supervisor within the Estates and Facilities Team.
The Site Supervisor is responsible for the day to day management of Hotel Services staff including housekeepers and porters who provide and maintain a high standard of soft services support and cleanliness.
Experience of using IT software i.e. Microsoft Office is essential.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate continued professional development and in addition to key skills a willingness to achieve Numeracy and Literacy level 2 within an agreed timescale. You should also possess experience of COSHH and knowledge of NHS Cleaning Standards 2021.
The post holder will be based at Greenacres in Dartford and will be required to work Tuesday - Friday 08.00 - 16.30 and every Saturday 07.30 - 13.00.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* Day to day supervision, training and development of Hotel Services staff to ensure that the functions of the Department are carried out effectively and efficiently, including ensuring adequate cover at times of annual leave and sickness.
* To actively participate in and undertake implementation projects for the Cleanliness in Hospitals Programme and ensure that Hygiene Codes of Practice are followed.
* To co-ordinate the Ward and Departmental performance monitoring weekly, to achieve the Trust standard.
* To monitor and contribute to the evaluation of expenditure budgets and allocated resources available for Hotel Services and assist in the provision of information for annual budget setting.
* To maintain training records and assist staff in reaching their training goals.
* To co-ordinate deliveries and order cleaning and Ward provisions in conjunction with the Trust’s Standing Financial instructions.
* Deliver and top up domestic provisions for each Ward.
* Deliver and top up office/conference and training areas as requested.
* To participate in the recruitment and retention of staff and to continually review the existing practices to maintain value for money and the agreed performance.
