Role: Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £50,000 to £53,000 per annum, + benefits & bonus + overtime (x1.5 & x2.0) + small gym onsite + opportunity to move up within their pay scales and job functions
Hours: Working on a 12 hour shift system, covering days & nights, 6 till 6
Location: Commutable from Southampton, Portsmouth, Waterlooville, Fareham, Chichester and surrounding areas

We are recruiting for a reputable Manufacturer who are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer who is after a career move, someone who has a genuine interest in developing their skills and building a career. With their structure, you will have the chance to move up within their pay scales and job functions, be across a wide variety of work and machinery, and have an opportunity to focus on electrical work from planned preventative maintenance, projects and new installations, and dealing with breakdowns. Electrical work includes inverters, servo drives, star/delta (ac/dc) motors, contactors, relays, control panels, PLC's.
Responsibilities
1. To investigate and repair electrical breakdowns and malfunctions across a range of production or plant equipment.
2. To carry out planned maintenance on all site electrical equipment, working to a planned maintenance & inspection schedules.
3. Maintaining and updating all maintenance documentation, which will include PC-based systems.
4. To keep the working areas clean and tidy, cleaning up after each maintenance operation, including tool boxes and work bench areas.
5. Develop continuous improvement ideas and implement them.
6. To assist technical staff with development work.
7. To carry out miscellaneous maintenance and repair work on request to factory priorities.
8. To carry out project work on new equipment and plant.
9. To provide on-the-job training to inexperienced or new personnel.
10. To investigate and correct processing problems with the assistance of the shift operating personnel, and other specialist personnel, if necessary.
11. To complete “Maintenance Orders” and “shift log sheets” giving information about work completed and root cause of problems.
12. Undertake the writing and updating of risk assessments and SOP's to ensure high safety standards.
13. To communicate to the incoming personnel/manager on any work which is outstanding and needs to be completed or may cause problems during the shift. This communication should include any health and safety issues.
Requirements
1. Electrically trained and qualified
2. Electrical experience, working within a similar environment - Industrial or Manufacturing
3. ANY experience of the following; inverters, servo drives, star/delta (ac/dc) motors, contactors, relays, control panels, PLC's
4. Aspirations to develop your skills and progress your career.
5. Any knowledge of PLC and fault finding.
6. Good work ethic, with the ability to react quickly in critical situations.
7. Friendly to others, with a great team attitude.
