Key Responsibilities:
1. Student Support: Provide personalised assistance to students, helping them with their educational and social development.
2. Classroom Assistance: Work alongside the class teacher to facilitate a productive and engaging learning environment.
3. Behavioural Guidance: Assist in managing classroom behaviour to create a positive and conducive learning atmosphere.
4. Resource Management: Help prepare and organise learning materials and classroom resources.
5. Activity Supervision: Supervise students during activities, break times, and other school events.
6. Special Needs Support: Offer dedicated support to students with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring they receive appropriate assistance.
Requirements:
1. Experience: Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
2. Qualifications: A relevant educational or childcare qualification is preferred.
3. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
4. Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with teachers, staff, and parents.
5. Empathy and Patience: A caring and patient attitude towards working with children.
6. Adaptability: Flexibility to work in different classroom settings and adapt to various teaching methods.
7. Safeguarding Awareness: A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
8. DBS Check: A current enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
