SUMMARY OF POSITION: To assist the Terrace & Bar Manager in overseeing all aspects of bar supervision (Terrace, Bar, Lounge & Pearly Cow). To lead by example, setting the tone and pattern of behaviour which is representative of the brand identity and core values. SUPERVISORY DUTIES • Beverage standards are always adhered to in terms of quality and timing. • Ensuring the professional handling of guest complaints, escalating to line manager when necessary. • Highest level of hospitality delivered to guests so repeat business ensured. • High level of ratings on booking/ review platforms. • Great neighbourhood relations- no complaints from local residents. • Daily running of bar (Terrace, Bar, Lounge and Pearly Cow) operating procedures are followed and accounted for (using given IT systems). • All procedure followed when problems arise (H&S, maintenance, people) and dealt with promptly. • Administrative duties dealt with in assigned time (not during peak service hours). • To participate in management meetings (Hotel dependent). • Ensure the professional handling of guest complaints, escalating to your line manager or General Manager when necessary. • Ensure that all the team know exactly what is expected of them (job description), how to do it (training). • Poor performance managed immediately in order to avoid negative effect on team or guest. • Always supervise using constant, gentle pressure approach. • Assist the Terrace & Bar Manager with ordering of stock. • Helping with delivery/storage of stock. • Variances in invoiced items/stock delivered reported. • Out of stock items reported to Terrace & Bar Manager
