As Disturbia continues to grow, the need has arisen to hire a Finance Assistant to take ownership of the Order to Cash reconciliation cycle within the current finance team as we embark on the next phase of our exciting growth journey. This role will specialise in Income & Banking.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Accounts Manager, this role will be responsible for ensuring the internal reconciliation of the Order to Cash cycle is maintained and controlled in a timely and accurate manner. The role would also assume responsibility for the reconciliation of the Company bank accounts on a daily basis.
Responsibilities Include
* Reconciling daily website sales and refunds, investigating any discrepancies and feeding the causes of this back into the finance function to develop and foster a continuous improvement mentality
* Reconciling bank and credit card statements, ensuring the integrity of the financial ledger
* Continually review and challenge the inherent processes and suggest improvements
* Assisting with month end accounts and producing journals
* Filing and administrative duties
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy to meet deadlines;
* Excellent IT skills, specifically advanced Excel & systems knowledge;
* At least 3 years’ experience in bookkeeping or similar accounts role with strong reconciliation skills and exposure;
* AAT Level 2 or above (desirable)
* An analytical mindset, with the ability to manipulate and analyse high volumes of transactional data with ease;
* Experience of using ERP’s or the Order to Cash cycle;
* Have a positive attitude with a thorough approach to problem solving;
* Experience and ability handling sensitive, confidential information;
* Ability to work well within and support the accounts team.
