Alcohols Limited is a chemical distribution company which was formed in 1955 as a subsidiary of The Palmer Group. It is a private family company founded in 1805 which is still family owned today.
This role will be based at our new £23million facility in Rugby based at the Europark just off the A5 which has recently opened.
The Opportunity
The Supply Chain & Transport Administrator is responsible for providing effective administrative support to the whole supply chain team including Planning & Stock Control, Goods In and Transport for deliveries to customers.
What you will contribute
* Understand and comply with the company initiatives for Safety, Health & Environment, actively supporting the “Safety First” approach and for carrying out tasks and operations as assigned in accordance with SOPs, Policies and Safe Systems of Work.
* Responsible for completing all administrative processes for the despatch of products to customers (including raising picking sheets, despatch notes and invoices) liaising with all drivers.
* Manage the administration for the booking of spot hire of external hauliers including the raising and receipting of purchase orders.
* Provide reliable office administration support including well organised physical file management, data collation and timely, accurate upload to the ERP system.
* Liaise with the customer goods in departments to book in deliveries.
* Support and provide cover for the Planning & Stock Controller and Supply Chain Co-ordinator for example in booking in inbound raw material deliveries.
* Liaise with sales, operations and logistics teams to effectively communicate and reconcile orders on the system.
* Handle queries from internal colleagues (e.g. sales, finance and other sites) regarding Industrial operations and create Ad-Hoc reports when required.
* Responsible for maintaining safe, clean & efficient office and communal areas.
* Other administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the depot.
What you will bring

* Demonstrable proficient user of ERP system and able to effectively use MS Office software to develop/use production planning and reporting tools ideally in a fast moving manufacturing environment.
* Excellent communicator and able to build relationships with the team, peers and stakeholders.
* Well organised, a practical/proactive problem solver and flexible to support a dynamic, customer driven business, commercially astute.
* Ability to handle large quantities of data, to prioritise and to meet deadlines whilst handling multiple tasks whilst remaining composed.
* Good communication and numeracy skills.
* Quality focused with good attention to detail and driven to raise standards and able to accurately record information and follow process instruction (SOP).
* A positive, 'can-do' approach to work, agile and tenacious.
* Experience of working for a Chemicals or Food & Drinks company would be an advantage.
