Bolton has a 24-bedded Acute Stroke Unit and delivers a Monday to Friday outpatient service for Stroke and TIA referrals. You will be an integral part of the unit, supported by a full MDT including stroke specialist nurses, therapists, a clinical neuropsychologist, and a Stroke Co-ordinator. The unit also has an established combined Early Supported Discharge and Community Stroke Team.

You will be fully registered with the General Medical Council and included on the Specialist Register (or a UK SpR within 6 months of CCT date at interview).
You will have the opportunity to join the weekend on-call rota (1 in 7) at Salford Hyper Acute Stoke Unit to maintain your skills with thrombolysis and thrombectomy. There will be opportunities to support weekend TIA clinics as 7-day clinics are established at Salford with support from district consultants for the Salford, Bolton, and Wigan sector.
Requests to work additional PAs will also be considered, and a job plan will be discussed and agreed with you before commencement.
