This is a great opportunity for a scientist with experience developing NGS assays to join a global provider of clinical and diagnostic solutions. The team is working hard to develop products that assist in the development of personalised healthcare treatments for oncology and rare diseases.
We are looking for candidates with experience developing NGS assays. You will be involved in all aspects of novel product development and will play a key part in the development of the company’s portfolio of NGS products.
You will not only be exposed to the lab and research side of the business but also work closely with commercial and product teams, so you will have a chance to develop skills in these areas.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assisting with the introduction of new products, technologies and methodologies to increase efficiencies or expand the product portfolio
2. Finding solutions for and implementing methods to resolve issues
3. Planning and conducting experiments and analysing results
4. Maintaining integrity of sequencing data, including troubleshooting, problem identification, resolution, and communication
5. Writing experimental methods and results using quality guidelines
6. Attending R&D meetings and presenting findings
7. Keeping up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments
8. Producing all required documents for relevant technical transfers.
Ideally you will have:
1. BSc or higher in Life science discipline
2. Demonstrable experience in sequencing based molecular approaches
3. Experience designing and developing molecular biology assays (NGS essential)
4. Familiar working to ISO standards – specifically 13485
5. Strong organisation skills
6. Effective IT skills enabling you to summarise and present complex datasets
