We are now recruiting for a Finance Manager to assume responsibility for the accurate and timely reflection of financial business activities and to identify areas of strengths and improvements across the finance function.
In addition to this as our Finance Manager you will be responsible for:
* The preparation and completion of the accounting month end process with the output of management accounts and variance analysis.
* Preparation and processing of all month end journals such as: Prepayments / Accruals and Depreciation.
* Monthly reconciliation and closing of COS, absorption and post related entries.
* Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations – FA, Inventory and Intercompany.
* Maintaining the fixed asset register.
* Preparation of weekly 13 week cashflow forecast.
* Preparation of labour efficiency reporting.
* Preparation and execution of Quality cost roll process (materials, labour and overheads).
* Preparation and submission of statutory returns (VAT).
* AX system maintenance – WO close (daily), FX rates, period close.
* Year end audit – Assisting in the preparation of year end audit file.
* Payroll – Supporting the internal processing performed on Sage payroll.
* Pensions – Supporting the internal processing of pension administration.
In order to be successful in this role it’s essential that you have:
* Qualified or are part qualified (in the final year of your exams).
* 5+ years of accounting experience – preparation of trial balance and management accounts.
* Advanced Excel skills – Vlookups, iferror, graphs etc.
* ERP system understanding – We use Microsoft AX Dynamics.
* High level of organisational and planning skills.
It would be great if you had:
* 5+ years’ experience within an accountancy practice.
* 5+ years’ experience within a manufacturing company.
This role would particularly suit someone previously within an accountancy practice looking to move into industry.
