Housing Officer
Are you passionate about helping people? Join our team as an Housing Officer and support our participants with their housing needs.
You'll oversee a caseload of adult males in either a custodial or community environment. Our successful candidate will work alongside probation practitioners, you'll perform initial assessments to determine their specific needs and create customised accommodation plans through a series of agreed interventions. This process includes keeping participants informed about decisions that affect them and ensuring they understand their rights.
Our successful candidate will ideally has knowledge of homelessness or experience in the criminal justice sector. However, we recognise that not everyone will meet all criteria. If you are engaging, compassionate, resilient, and comfortable working with a diverse range of people from various backgrounds then this is the job for you. We provide on-site training and support to help you develop your knowledge and skills throughout your position.

In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we're offering a competitive salary of £24,650 - £29,000 per annum pro rata (dependent on experience) with these great benefits:

Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of participants, producing personalised accommodation plans
Carry out initial assessments, considering risk, situation and need
Record progress and outcomes timely and accurately using case management system
Maintain contact with participants, identifying any emerging risks and concerns
Skills and Experience
Experience or knowledge of Accommodation (incl. legislation) - desirable
Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Experience or knowledge of the work of the Criminal Justice System
Good organisation skills and ability to meet deadlines
