Nexos are looking for an experienced Principal Process Engineer to join our team on a contract basis for 18 months. You’ll be ensuring technical quality and project delivery remain within budget and schedule. This role will be accountable for executing plant layout and piping engineering activities while providing technical leadership and discipline-specific input into tenders and proposals. You will be responsible for assessing and improving working practices, systems, and team efficiency, as well as supervising and allocating workloads to assigned personnel. Ensuring compliance with project budgets and schedules, you will also be involved in project planning, progress tracking, cost control, and managing scope changes in collaboration with Planning, Project Engineering, and Project Control teams. Maintaining alignment with current industry standards, regulations, and codes will be a key focus, as will liaising with customer focal points and attending key project meetings. This position requires expertise in reviewing, checking, and approving plant layout and piping engineering work while maintaining effective communication with clients, project management, and interdisciplinary teams. You will be responsible for estimating, scheduling, and submitting approvals via our digital ecosystem (Slingshot), as well as conducting competency assessments and supporting the professional development of piping engineering personnel. Acting as a discipline focal point when required, you will work closely with the Engineering Manager and Lead Engineer to address any concerns and drive continuous improvement. Skills & Qualifications : Essential: Demonstrable experience in the Oil & Gas industry. UK bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in appropriate engineering subject (piping/mechanical). Chartered Engineer and member of appropriate engineering Institute. Sound technical background and expertise. Experienced in selection and use of, applicable codes, practices, standards and statutory documentation. Competent in the direction and organisation of discipline team within project environment (Small/Medium Sized). Competent in commercial, contractual, and administrative aspects of Engineering. Experienced in aspects of discipline design (including multi-discipline) and use of analytical methods including theoretic background. Desirable: Mandatory offshore certification (BOSIET, MIST, Medical, etc.)
