Maz Service & Repair Ltd is offering a fantastic apprenticeship opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in CNC machine servicing and repair. This role will provide you with practical, hands-on experience while working alongside a team of expert engineers who specialize in Mazak CNC machines.
As an apprentice, you’ll gain in-depth knowledge of the fundamentals of CNC machining, servicing, and repair, allowing you to develop the skills needed to become a highly skilled engineer in this specialist field.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
* Learning the fundamentals of CNC machining, servicing, and repair, including how to maintain and troubleshoot various Mazak CNC machines.
* Assisting with machine diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs, where you’ll apply your knowledge to identify faults, perform maintenance, and carry out repairs under the guidance of experienced engineers.
* Working both at our Redditch facility and out in the field with our engineers. You’ll gain experience in different environments, supporting our team on-site as they service customer machines and troubleshoot issues.
* Developing skills in electrical, mechanical, and software troubleshooting, allowing you to become a well-rounded engineer who can tackle various technical challenges in CNC machinery.

Together with invaluable commercial and practical experience, you’ll gain several academic and vocational qualifications throughout your time with us and Make UK, which are fully paid for, including:
Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Foundation Competence – in year 1, in 6 week blocks to include 4 weeks at Make UK and 2 weeks in company
● Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Development Competence - in years 2 to 4 in company
● Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Development Knowledge - in Years 2 & 3 on block release to Make UK
● In house training in line with your requirements.
● Further qualifications deemed necessary by your employer
