Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a teaching assistant to provide support to pupils with additional learning needs. You will be working with pupils aged 11-16. Support will be given on a 1:1 basis and within small groups. You will need to engage with students with challenging behaviours, helping to remove their barriers to learning and build relationships.
A large part of this role will include using sports as interventions for the pupils. Any experience with coaching or qualifications in sports are highly recommended to apply for this role.
Candidate qualities:
* Reliable and flexible; jobs can be made available on short notice.
* Confident, with an approachable manner and outgoing personality.
* Relevant experience in a similar field.
* Enthusiasm to work with pupils who need additional time to progress.
* Strong behavioural management skills.
* Sporting background.
Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS clearance, registered on the update service (or willingness to apply).
* EWC registration (or willingness to apply).
* Ability to provide two recent references.
* Right to work in the UK, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
