Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the design, analysis, and implementation of nuclear engineering projects.
* Conduct research and feasibility studies on nuclear technologies and safety measures.
* Support senior engineers in system modeling, simulations, and performance assessments.
* Work on regulatory compliance and ensure adherence to nuclear safety standards.
* Participate in on-site inspections, commissioning, and testing activities.
* Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations.
* Engage in cross-functional teamwork with mechanical, electrical, and safety engineers.
* Attend training sessions, industry conferences, and professional development programs.
Requirements:
Essential:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Knowledge of nuclear safety regulations and industry best practices.
* Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., MATLAB, ANSYS, AutoCAD, Python, etc.).
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Desirable:
* Previous internship or placement experience in a nuclear or energy-related sector.
* Understanding of reactor physics, radiation protection, or thermal-hydraulics.
* Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., IMechE, IET, or Nuclear Institute).
