Martin services the energy-from-waste (EfW) industry by providing engineering, design, consulting, planning and general contracting services. In addition, it offers products for boiler systems as well as flue gas treatment (LAB), plant modernization, equipment overhaul, repair and maintenance services. Martin has been serving the UK market for over 40 years and its recently established subsidiary MRS will expand its support with its local presence. Position Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Engineering Support Co-Ordinator t o support engineering operations, organise service teams, manage project schedules, maintain cost control and support the Proposals Manager. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring efficient service delivery, resource allocation, and successful project execution. The Engineering Support Co-Ordinator will support the MRS Service Engineering area of accountability. collaborating closely with the Proposals Manager and other MRS technical, sales and administrative staff, you will learn how to design and quote for combustion system equipment and spare part needs; specifically, in confirming their technical scopes and accuracy. You will develop into a power engineering professional and expand your knowledge base in the environmental field of EfW and Martin Groups detailed product line. General Responsibilities Engineering Support: o Assist engineering teams in the planning and execution of technical projects. o Maintain and update technical documentation, reports, and drawings. o Ensure compliance with engineering standards and specifications. Service Team Coordination: o Organise and allocate service teams to meet project requirements. o Act as the main point of contact for service teams, ensuring smooth communication and support. o Monitor field activities to ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. Scheduling and Resource Management: o Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking milestones and deadlines. o Ensure timely resource allocation, including personnel, tools, and equipment. o Proactively identify and address scheduling conflicts. Cost Control: o Monitor project budgets and track expenses to ensure cost efficiency. o Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts for management. o Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend improvements. Communication and Reporting: o Liaise with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment. o Prepare and deliver regular progress reports. o Ensure issues are identified and resolved promptly Proposals Support: o Clarifies the technical scopes for customer requested MARTIN systems and equipment. o Site surveys to gather measurements and other data to enable you to create offers o Assist with generating customer-specific project and spare parts quotations. o Work towards managing projects and orders always focussing on delivering high customer service level and on-time project deliveries. o Organise and meet with contractors and direct employees on customer site and when relevant and oversee their delivery / performance. o Support customers on technical matters related to the MARTIN systems and components. o Assumes administrative responsibility for generating orders, once the order specifics are verified and determined to be technically feasible and accurate. Person Specification (Qualifications & Experience) Education: Bachelors Engineering degree or equivalent Experience in operations or maintenance on utility power plants and/or energy-from-waste facilities Familiar with power facility primary components (i.e., Boilers, Incineration/Combustion systems/FGT) Capability to create CAD drawings (advantageous on AutoCAD or Navisworks) Read and interpret technical drawings Ability to travel for training and technical discussions Must have proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite as well as the ability to learn and utilise customised ERP systems.
