Role Description:
* Preparing cost plans for construction projects, including concept design and design development
* Creating tender documents, such as bills of quantities, rates, or schedules
* Preparing the budget for construction documentation, such as architectural and engineering plans, drawings, and specifications
* Conducting preliminary research into construction and budget details to help the quantity surveyor make informed evaluations
* Monitoring actual expenses against budget plans while reporting significant price fluctuations and preparing monthly cash flow forecasts
* Preparing replacement costs and tax depreciation schedules at the end of the project for the client's insurance policy
Requirements:
* Hold a Quantity Surveying degree or similar
* Minimum of 6 years' Quantity Surveying experience
* Must have consultancy experience
* Strong experience of high-end residential projects required
* Ideally educated to degree or equivalent level in Quantity Surveying or a related field
* MRICS accreditation is preferred
* Track record of successful project budgetary management cost reporting and cost control through the project lifecycle on projects of varying sizes and complexity-depth knowledge of construction contract management including standard forms of contract and procurement options
* Excellent communication skills
* Can easily work autonomously & as part of a team.
