About the role
This is a 12-month fixed term maternity cover.
A Product Manager at Fisher and Paykel means using your expert product and market knowledge to support our trusted clinical advisors in leading customers through clinical practice change projects. You will have 3 to 5 years experience in either a similar product management role; medical sales role where you are able to navigate the NHS purchasing process and have a proven track record; or experience in a clinical role with a background in acute care. What the role involves
Knowledge mobilisation
* Undertake internal and external product related training for staff and customers as required. Work to build a sales team of trusted clinical advisors.
* Support sales team with field visits to provide specialist product knowledge.
* Attend scientific meetings/ exhibitions both national and international as required to support product and clinical learning and relationship building
Product Lifecycle
* Manage products through the whole product life cycle encompassing the delivery of effective product launches updates and obsolescence
Market knowledge
* F&P global product knowledge
* Remain up to date on competitor product launches.
* Understanding the NHS and patient pathways.
* Identify evaluate and develop any new market / or product opportunities in conjunction with NZ product managers.
Maintaining and growing OEM business relationships
Work in collaboration with Territory Managers, Service Team and Global Product Teams to resolve customer queries and/or product complaints.
Tenders
* Co-ordinate Tender process with appropriate stakeholders.
Report monthly to the Marketing Manager on all Product related issues and competitor activity.
Key competencies for success
* A track record of success with educating / selling technical or clinical devices into ICU and wards alongside an understanding of purchasing routes with procurement .
* 3 years at least of sales or complimentary experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in medical or healthcare industry.

* 3 years within a clinical role where education and patient care is a key, experience as a Physiotherapist, Practice development nurse, or Education lead within a hospital.
* Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
* Strong networking skills to build relationships with prospective and existing clients
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Customer service focus
* Good IT and administration skills
