Job Description
The Job Mission:
As the WIC (Wrapping, Insulation, and Caulking) Project Manager, you will lead the full lifecycle delivery of WIC work packages within the MEH (Mechanical, Electrical & HVAC) Programme at the Hinkley Point C project. This role involves close coordination with stakeholders, ensuring that all WIC activities are executed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
⚡️ Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed schedules for WIC activities, tracking milestones and ensuring deadlines are met
⚡️ Requirements Gathering: Identify and track WIC scope requirements, managing changes to ensure project deliverables remain on schedule
⚡️ Resource Coordination: Secure and coordinate personnel, equipment, and materials for efficient project execution
⚡️ Team Leadership: Manage a multidisciplinary team, including WIC Project Engineers, subcontractors, and technicians, ensuring cohesive delivery of WIC tasks
⚡️ Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, escalating significant concerns proactively
⚡️ Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, manage costs, and provide regular financial updates to senior management
⚡️ Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams to support project collaboration
⚡️ Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure WIC activities comply with EDF NNB procedures, quality standards, and ONR safety regulations
⚡️ Project Documentation: Maintain organized, accessible project documentation in compliance with project and regulatory requirements
⚡️ Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates on project status, challenges, and deliverables to ensure effective project management
Qualifications
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Building Services, Electrical) or formal Project Management qualification with technical understanding of wrapping, insulation, and caulking systems
5+ years’ project management experience in nuclear, energy, chemical, or transport sectors, with a proven record in managing complex work packages
Leadership and team management skills with experience guiding multidisciplinary teams
Proactive problem-solving skills and a strong approach to risk management
Stakeholder management experience, with effective communication skills at all levels
Familiarity with EDF NNB procedures (beneficial)
Knowledge of quality standards and safety regulations essential
Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6)
French language skills (beneficial)
