Lead Gas Engineer (Contract) Our Role As part of ourEmergency Response Team, youll be the first on the scene at customers homes, which makes you the face of our brand for people who are worried aboutpotential gas escapes or carbon monoxide activated alarms. Sometimesyoull be dealing with the emergency services on behalf of our customers,making you part of a team thats responsible for protecting peoples lives.They could be vulnerable, elderly, or simply looking for help, and its thatlevel of empathy, plus the pride youll feel from caring for people and keepingthem safe in their homes that could make you a Cadent person. Its a rolewhere no two days are the same, so from installation, replacement, andmaintenance of gas meters for our home and business customers, to high rise andgas safety regulation surveys, to fitting cooker safety valves, when we sayits a varied role, we mean it. Previous Experience Were looking for excellent communication skills and the ability to keep calm under pressure.You must have either a CCN1 or CMA1 qualification to apply. A MET1 qualification would be beneficial but is notessential. As well as experience working within a gas environment, including good knowledge of gas appliances; testing, purging and thecommissioning of pipework. Anunderstanding of Standards, Legislation, Codes of Practice and Health andSafety is also important, and youll need a full UK driving licence too.
