The purpose of the role will be to take responsibility for the delivery of housing management services to residents. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include planning and ensuring service delivery; managing complex and sensitive issues and agendas; managing key relationships with delivery partners to ensure agreed outcomes; develop service plan to meet strategic goals; ensure continuous improvement and data driven improvement; lead, motivate and develop staff to deliver a positive and customer centric service; effective resource management; the implementation of a robust risk management programme; and to ensure high safeguarding standards amongst other responsibilities. Key Requirements Demonstrable experience working commercially as a Head of Housing, or in a strategic Housing Management capacity. A track record of the continuous improvement and development of tenancy improvement and sustainment, environmental, and anti-social behaviour initiatives Extensive knowledge of applicable Housing legislation, including the Housing Act 1996 (parts VI & VII as amended by the Homelessness Act 2002) 1985, 1988, 2004, amongst other legal frameworks. Line management, staff motivations, and a track record of promoting innovation and a positive culture of continuous improvement. Housing Strategy & Policy Development, Planning and Service Delivery. Budget, Commission, Forecast & Contract Management experience. Experience of Service Improvement and improving resident satisfaction. Statutory & Regulatory performance improvement experience. Relevant Housing degree qualifications and/or certifications. As an individual you will be a strong leader capable of challenging decision and team building. You will have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, whilst also being a self-starter comfortable with taking responsibility for delivery. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to think on your feet and be ultimately goal orientated. The role will be hybrid based with home working and two days per week working in an office in London.
