Job Title: Bookkeeper / Operations Administrator
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 (Depending on Experience)
Location: BOURNEMOUTH
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 16:30pm or 9:00am - 5:00pm
Annual Leave: 22 days plus bank holidays, increasing with service
Are you an experienced Bookkeeper with strong administrative skills, proficient in QuickBooks and Xero? We're seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Operations Administrator to join our growing client. This role is key to maintaining our financial accuracy and supporting office operations, offering a great opportunity to make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Financial Management: Maintain precise and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks moving to Xero, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Multi-Currency Transactions: Manage financial transactions across multiple currencies.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee invoice processing, manage payments, and handle customer credit control and credit limits.
Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
Payroll Administration: Manage the payroll process to ensure timely and accurate employee payments.
VAT Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with regulations.
Financial Reporting: Produce financial reports to assist management with strategic decision-making.
Facilities Management: Assist with managing company facilities, including contracts, utilities, and asset management.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the workplace.
Key Holder: Take responsibility for the security of the premises.
Resource & Purchase Management: Efficiently allocate resources and oversee non-stock purchasing.What We're Looking For:
Qualifications: A qualification in bookkeeping or a related field.
Experience:
Proven experience in a similar role with a thorough understanding of bookkeeping principles.
Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and Xero.
Skills:
Proficiency in managing multi-currency transactions.
Strong accounts payable and receivable management experience.
Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling.
Knowledge of VAT returns and compliance requirements.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
Additional Knowledge: Experience in facilities management, contracts, utilities, and health and safety regulations is desirable.
Team Player: Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.What We Offer:
