The starting salary for this role is £19,798 per annum for working 24 hours per week and £14,848.50 for working 18 hours per week (pro rata £29,697 per annum).
The Children, Families and Learning Directorate provides a range of highly specialist services to children and young people. We are currently looking for two Court Administration Officers to join the team:
* 24 hours per week on a 1 year temporary contract
* 18 hours per week on a permanent contract
The role will be based at our Quadrant Court/Victoria Gate Office in Woking, although some remote working is possible.
About the Role
In this role, you will prepare legal documents for prosecution cases, check court files, and administer the penalty notice process in accordance with new legislation. You will act as the first point of contact in the absence of the Court Presentation Officer, liaising with customers and other service departments. As well as this, you will keep track of information, update and maintain spreadsheets and databases, and provide performance information to support requests from the Department for Education (DfE).
You will be highly organised and willing to take responsibility and use initiative, comfortable in setting your priorities and meeting deadlines. You will ensure that everything is in place to guarantee that all runs smoothly for the processes and teams you support. A background in Education Law or School Attendance may be useful, but not essential.
Shortlisting Criteria
To be considered for shortlisting for this position your application will clearly evidence:
* A recent and solid background in administration
* Experience of working in a busy office environment
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above or equivalent
* Evidence of excellent IT skills and proficiency in using Microsoft Office
You will be confident, organised and able to implement a proactive approach to work.
