Role: As a Transport Administrator, the successful candidate will be responsible for the despatch of the drivers and subcontractors' paperwork while providing the highest level of customer service.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday
Rotational Shift:
1. 06:30 - 14:30
2. 12:00 - 20:30
Responsibilities:
1. Engage with all external customers by communicating in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring that they are left with a lasting positive impression of our delivery service.
2. Answer and respond to all incoming calls in a prompt and polite manner.
3. Ensure that any external customer's queries or concerns are dealt with in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner, following the relevant company guidelines.
4. Ensure inbound/outbound paperwork is completed promptly and accurately.
5. Book in external collections.
6. Check haulier invoices.
7. Undertake administrative and filing duties to meet the needs of Transport Administration.
8. Participate as an effective and willing team member to achieve individual and team goals.
9. Ensure that the health and safety of yourself, customers, and colleagues is not at risk by taking all reasonable steps to ensure safety in the workplace.
10. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
1. Geographical knowledge.
2. Knowledge of drivers' hours, regulations, and legislation would be desirable but not essential.
3. A good standard of PC literacy.
4. Able to accurately complete paperwork.
5. Proven ability to work well within a team.
6. Previous administration experience would be advantageous but not essential.
7. Previous experience working in a transport environment.
