We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated National Service Manager to lead and oversee all service operations across our depots. In this senior-level role, you will be responsible for managing service engineers, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency in our workshops. Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all workshop activities across multiple depots, ensuring adherence to internal Quality Management Systems and Health & Safety regulations.
2. Lead, manage, and support the engineering team, ensuring effective communication and teamwork across depots.
3. Fault-finding, servicing, repairs, and maintenance of powered access and material handling equipment, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
4. Handle and assign breakdown calls, ensuring prompt and efficient response from mobile engineers.
5. Ensure the completion and accuracy of all supporting paperwork in line with company procedures.
6. Promote a safe working environment, maintaining equipment in a serviceable and presentable condition.
7. Liaise with Depot and Senior Management regarding spare parts to enable cost-effective repairs.
8. Maintain up-to-date service records, adhering to company policies and procedures.
9. Report key performance indicators (KPIs) to the Senior Management Team and contribute to achieving productivity targets.
10. Represent the company’s values, providing excellent customer service and portraying a professional image at all times.
Person Specification:
The ideal candidate will:
1. Hold relevant qualifications and have proven experience within the construction industry.
2. Have strong expertise in plant, diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics, and diagnostic fault finding.
3. Possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure.
4. Demonstrate a deep understanding of health and safety compliance and the importance of exceptional customer service.
